Chief of Police
The Village of Northfield, Illinois is seeking an experienced engaging leader to be its next Chief of Police. The prior chief retired after 24 years in the role and was a highly visible and beloved envoy for the department. The next chief will continue to enhance community engagement, be an experienced leader who possesses both compassion and integrity, and developed the expertise necessary to guide an outstanding team of officers.
Candidates should possess: a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice or related field, have five years of supervisory experience, hold or be able to achieve certification as an Illinois police officer, a valid Illinois driver’s license, and have maintained a clean disciplinary record.
