The Village of Riverside is now accepting Police Officer applications! Instructions on how to apply can be found below for all interested parties.

How to Apply:
• Complete your application at https://www.publicsafetytesting.com/departments/Riverside-PD-IL/police-patrol-officer
• Submit all supporting documentation by the application deadline, testing deadline is September 18, 2026

Police Officer Minimum Requirements:
• U.S. citizenship or be legally authorized to work in the United States
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 21 years of age as of application due date, and under 35 years of age at the time the eligibility list is posted, unless exempt by statute
• No felony convictions
• Proof of passing the Illinois POWER test within the past year at the time of your potential interview. POWER Test cards are accepted from the following locations or any other licensed agency: Joliet Junior College - Joliet, IL or NIPSTA - Glenview, IL
• Submit online application and all supporting documentation by DATE
